Asam Laksa

I would say that if I were ever to leave the country, my Malaysian taste buds would definitely miss this dish. Assam Laksa (tamarind) is a mixture of sweet, sour and spicy soupy goodness with an array of textures in a bowl! With fresh onions, cucumbers, pineapples, fresh chillies and mint leaves leaving a fresh crunch to accommodate the soft texture of the rice noodles, bits of fish and the amazing aroma from the fresh banana flower, who could resist this bowl of goodness? Colourful and delicious, this Nonya dish is simply mouth watering.
Banana flower.
Now, who could resist a bowl of Assam Laksa?
